Peru Brand Campaign: PROMPERÚ Launches New National Strategy

The government recently introduced the newest Peru brand campaign to the public. The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) launched “More Peruvian Than Ever” this week. This strategic action aims to strengthen national pride and identity among citizens by sharing authentic stories. The core message proves that love for this South American nation truly has no borders.

The Vision Behind the Peru Brand Campaign

The promotion strategy starts with a simple reflection. Citizens often rediscover the true value of their country when they see it through the eyes of those who admire it from the outside. The official slogan, “Love for Peru has no borders,” reinforces this idea. The initiative shares inspiring stories of foreigners who made the country part of their daily lives. It also highlights locals who use their talents to showcase national culture and biodiversity on the international stage.

“This initiative represents one of the most significant strategic and creative deployments for the trademark in recent years,” said Michael Guevara Varela, executive president of PROMPERÚ. He explained that digital platforms will broadcast these stories for the next few months. This digital push will connect different generations across the entire territory and abroad. The organizing committee traveled across multiple regions to find real people making a tangible difference. Finding common ground in these personal experiences helps build trust and projects a positive image worldwide.

Real Stories and Global Impact

The official presentation included three inspiring short films that perfectly represent the spirit of this Peru brand campaign. For example, the videos feature Kennedy Leavens, an American citizen working alongside weaving communities in Cusco. They also highlight Timour, a French chef recognized for spreading local gastronomy worldwide. Finally, Tatiana Espinosa, a local forestry engineer, shares her commitment to protecting the Amazon rainforest.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Berthin Gómez, attended the event. He praised the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and PROMPERÚ for driving a strategy that strengthens both international image and local pride. If you follow economic trends, you will notice how national pride directly affects local commerce, similar to the recent Peru restaurant sector growth reported earlier this year.

Since its creation in 2011, this national trademark has consolidated itself as a highly valuable asset. It successfully articulates efforts from both the public and private sectors to boost tourism, exports, and investments. Today, the trademark unifies the country, giving citizens a recognizable and consistent identity on a global scale.
