The National Chamber of Tourism of Peru (Canatur) achieved an important milestone in Europe today. Specifically, the organization secured its own dedicated stand at IFTM Top Resa 2026 for the first time. The prominent event takes place from September 15 to 17 at Paris Porte de Versailles. Consequently, Canatur at IFTM Top Resa connects Peruvian businesses directly with the French travel market.
Massive Professional Reach in Paris
This European trade show gathers more than 32,000 tourism professionals, 1,650 global brands, and 177 distinct travel destinations. Therefore, Paris currently serves as a vital meeting hub for international travel agencies, operators, and commercial buyers.
Maritza Montero, First Vice President of Canatur, leads the official delegation alongside Events Manager Cecilia Ocharán. Furthermore, ten representative Peruvian tourism enterprises joined the mission to promote their services. Montero emphasized that this effort aims to position Peruvian culture, gastronomy, nature, and adventure across key European markets.
Commercial Alliances and European Promotion
The dedicated stand facilitates direct business meetings with European operators seeking authentic South American packages. In addition, Montero praised the strategic support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Commercial Office of Peru (OCEX) in Paris.
As a result, this coordinated effort expands international sales opportunities for Peruvian travel suppliers. This European outreach aligns with recent commercial efforts seen at the Lima international tourism fair, further strengthening global commercial networks for the sector.
