Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Perú

Upon arrival to our bustling capital city, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Lima for a good night’s rest before tomorrow’s activities.

Day 2Palomino Islands and Lima

Islas Palomino is truly a hidden treasure where a variety of unexpected and charismatic species live, including sea lions and Humboldt penguins. Not only will you see and explore the Peruvian coast by catamaran, you’ll have the opportunity to swim alongside the resident wildlife! We’ll sit down for lunch at a restaurant in the main square of Lima, after which we’ll take time to explore the streets of the colonial, historic center. This afternoon after returning to the hotel, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy dinner on your own in the city,family adventure.

Day 3Lima to Cusco and Sacred Valley

This morning, we’ll catch our flight to Cusco, crossing the continental divide to reach the ancient capital of the Inca empire. Once we land, we´ll continue directly to the Sacred Valley, stopping along the way to meet some four-legged locals – alpacas and llamas! After lunch, we’ll continue to the picturesque, mountain town of Pisac, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the colorful street market and try some unique foods. Tonight, you’ll have the evening free to taste Peruvian cuisine at a local restaurant.

Day 4Paddle Boarding in Piuray Lake – Circular Terraces of Moray

Let´s go splash around! Today we’ll try out paddle boarding on one of the most beautiful lakes in the Cusco region. The surrounding mountain backdrop and small, Andean communities will make this an experience you won’t likely forget. Once we dry off and get comfortable, we’ll head to our unique and equally scenic lunch spot at the circular terraces of Moray. Afterwards, we’ll explore these mysterious terraces which were once used as a crop engineering laboratory by the Incas. By late afternoon, you’ll head back to the hotel for dinner and an evening of relaxation.

Day 5Free Family Day

Today´s goal is to relax to enjoy the hotel property it is time for that special massage treat you were waiting for, or eventually get to join any of the alternative choices from the amazing activities we can organize for you, we have some horseback riding, zip line, biking through the valley or ATVs to the salt ponds of Maras. Lunch will be on your own account today, but dinner will be a celebration grilled where kids will be delight with the storytelling of an Inca legend.

Day 6Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes

Today, we head to the Inca town of Ollantaytambo, where we´ll visit the impressive “sun temple” constructed with massive stones. Then we’ll catch the train for a 3-hour scenic ride through the Andes mountains and cloud forest to the small town of Aguas Calientes. Here, we’ll spend the rest of the afternoon trying our hand at fly-fishing just a half-hour downriver from town.

Day 7Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu

This morning, we’ll rise before the sun and make our way to legendary Machu Picchu! Together, we’ll lose ourselves in the labyrinth of passageways and learn more about the meaning behind the mysterious site. Later in the morning, join your guide for a climb to the top of Wayna Picchu Mountain or stay a little longer at the Machu Picchu citadel to explore on your own. In the afternoon, we’ll have lunch at the nearby Sanctuary lodge before we return to town to catch the train back towards Cusco. Tonight, enjoy a much-deserved night out on the town as well as dinner at your leisure.

Day 8Cusco City Tour

This morning, we’ll reunite to explore as much of the city as we can! From the impressive Inca structures of Sacsaywaman, we’ll head to the Qoricancha or “sun temple”, then lastly to the Cathedral of Cusco after we explore all the unique products of a local food market. Lunch will be served at a restaurant on the main square, Plaza de Armas, after which we’ll have a wildly-entertaining chocolate-making experience – and you get to bring home your finished product! This evening you’ll be free to enjoy your last night in Cusco.

Day 9Cusco Back to Lima

This morning, we’ll say our goodbyes before you catch your flight back to Lima, and our driver will take you to your hotel in Miraflores upon arrival at the Lima airport.
