Born in the Andes, living over 10,000 ft in the most popular tourist destination in Peru, Yuri was exposed to tourism at a young age. He grew up going to work every day with his mother who worked in a hotel which allowed him to meet many travelers from all over the world. As a teenager he went to visit family that were living in the jungle and started training as a zip line and raft guide. Since then Yuri has been rafting and kayaking in Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and the United States, giving him the experience to become a well rounded guide.
Yuri has many years and lots of stories leading guided trips to Manu National park, Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain and traditional tours around Cusco. He has a natural love and respect for nature and all that it has to offer.
