Sayoko2020-03-05Amazing Machupicchu We didn’t plan anything but arrived at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport. My friend asked Qosqo Expeditions to pick us up, and we met an agent there at the first time. Fernando who picked us up to the office is so kind and helped us for everything. First of all, we wanted to save money as much as possible, so we needed to make a low cost plan. He warmly gave us consultation, and we could make it better. On the day, we got up at 3am and started to prepare for going to Machu picchu. Fernando texted us 30 minutes before, and came to the hostel and piked us up. I made a lot of mess before leaving a(for example forgetting my jacket or a bottle of water), but he helped us every time. We went to Ollantaytambo from Cusco by bus, and we took a train to go to Machu picchu station. I like one of his recommendations which is going from Ollantaytambo station to Machu picchu station by Inca Rail train. It costs $5 more expensive than Peru Rail, so we thought a lot, but I’m sure our decision to go by Inca Rail was correct. Its service is like in-flight services and truly reasonable. I really appreciate Fernando to recommend it. We enjoyed coca tea and some snacks in the train. After arriving Machu picchu station, we had much time to explore around station, so we looked for some souvenirs. The prices of foods are a little more expensive than them in Cusco, but I guess they serve nice meal. We went to Machu picchu from Machu picchu station by shuttle bus. We met guides in front of the entrance of Machu picchu. The guides divided us into small groups to explain in English or Spanish. The guide we followed is enthusiastic and we really enjoyed the tour. He gave us a lot of information that isn’t published in Japanese guide book, so we could know more about people and history in Machu picchu . We took tons of photos. We went back to Cusco around 11 pm. We were tired out, but totally satisfied with the trip. I’m sure asking agency costs more than arranging by yourself, but it’s a better choice because you can travel with high quality services and no worries.
